Dietetic Technic -Children's Hospital of LA (Los Angeles)
Position Summary: The Dietetic Tech, under general supervision, assist the Clinical Dietitian in the provision of in-patient nutritional care. Collects subjective and objective data for evaluation of nutrition acuity per CNS protocol. Assumes responsibility for patients evaluated as low to moderate nutritional acuity. Provides formula and basic nutrition education upon discharge as needed. Demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care.
Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year of related Food Service, Hospital, Formula Preparation and/or Human Milk Preparation experience. Basic pediatric nutrition knowledge to include basic pediatric assessment, basic counseling skills. Computer skills required.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
A.A. degree and Dietetic Technician certificate program or BS/BA degree in Nutrition or related field required.
DTR Certification (Diet technician registered) required. For BS/BA degree candidates, please note DTR will also be required.
Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
