Sometimes knowing what NOT on your dietetic internship and/or grad school application is just as important as knowing what to do. Dr. Joan Salge Blake is going to share some intel on common (and often innocent) mistakes students make that negatively affect their chances of being accepted to a dietetic internship program. You may know her name as author of your Nutrition and You textbook, but Dr. Blake is also a phenomenal nutrition professor and dietetic internship director at Boston University (amongst other things- check out her full CV here.) Dr. Blake has seen a few hundred (thousand??) applications, and will be talking all about mishaps that can make your application go sideways real quick, and how to avoid those mishaps! Have a question for Dr. Blake? Let us know and we'll ask her! Check back on July 19th on our YouTube Channel to watch this fun and informative session with Dr. Blake... seriously- she is THE queen of keeping it real, so you don't want to miss this one! Be sure to follow us on IG or FB so you'll get the announcement when this video is posted!
Join us over on our Facebook page for a LIVE Q&A with Jessica Todd, MS, RDN, LD. Jessica is a Clinical Instructor and the Program Director of the Master of Science/Coordinated Program at Georgia State University. She will be discussing what factors a student should consider when applying to a Coordinated Program, how to make yourself an attractive candidate, what is needed to prepare for the application process to a grad program (hello GRE!), and what makes a applicant stand out on paper. She'll also be taking question live from viewers! Be sure to follow Diversify Dietetics on Instagram so you won't miss this valuable session!
