Registered Dietitian, 1099 Independent Contractor - Your Latina Nutrition (Remote)

Nutritiously Yours is a virtual nutrition counseling practice founded by Dalina Soto, MA, RD, LDN. Our Registered Dietitians provide 1:1 insurance-based nutrition counseling to patients across multiple states. Our patients are disproportionately Latina women and families who have spent years being handed meal plans that ignored their food, their culture, and their lives.

Our care is HAES-aligned (Health at Every Size) and weight-neutral. We do not center intentional weight loss as the measure of a patient's health or of our success. We support patients in building sustainable behaviors, repairing their relationship with food, and working toward the goals they set.

You’ll work an estimated 20–25 patient-facing hours a week, on a schedule you set, on a team of weight-neutral, culturally responsive dietitians. You’ll have opportunities for pay increases with strong patient retention rates. We’re not a corporate telehealth factory. We’re a clinician-owned practice that invests in our team as much as our patients. You’ll carry your own panel of virtual 1:1 patients, run your own sessions, and make your own clinical calls — on a schedule you set, with a caseload you can actually hold.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • A capacity of 20 to 25 patient-facing hours per week, on days and times you choose

  • A caseload of 15 patients per week at minimum once your panel is established. Expect roughly 6 to 10 weeks to get there

  • Clinical team meetings

  • Administrative time as needed

Preferred:

  • Counseling-level fluency in a second language — Spanish preferred; we also welcome RDs who practice in Portuguese or Haitian Creole

  • Prior 1:1 outpatient counseling, telehealth, or insurance-based experience

  • Experience with intuitive eating, disordered eating, GI, PCOS, diabetes, or perinatal populations

  • Existing licensure in additional states

Requirements

  • Current RD or RDN credential in good standing with CDR

  • Active dietitian license in Pennsylvania and Illinois, or willingness to obtain both

  • Genuine weight-neutral practice — not weight loss with softer language

  • Capacity to hold 20–25 patient-facing hours per week, on a schedule you choose

  • Comfort working independently in a virtual, insurance-based setting, including timely documentation

Benefits

  • This is contract work. There is no salary, no benefits, and no paid time off. You are responsible for your own taxes and professional liability insurance.

  • We are weight-neutral in practice, not just in our marketing. If your counseling centers weight loss, this will not be a fit — and that is fine.

  • $35 per hour to start, paid as a 1099 independent contractor

  • Opportunities for pay increases based on meeting your contracted hours and on patient retention

  • Paid clinical team meetings, billed at your hourly rate

  • Paid administrative time, up to 5 hours per calendar month

  • Licensure support. This role requires an active Pennsylvania and Illinois dietitian license. If our patient population later calls for licensure in an additional state, we will discuss it with you first and cover the cost of getting it. Ongoing renewal fees and continuing education are the RD’s responsibility, the same as for the rest of our team.

  • Credentialing handled by us. We manage payer enrollment and insurance billing so you can focus on patient care.

  • Practice platform and scheduling provided via Practice Better

  • A clinical team that actually consults — you will not be alone with a hard case
