Rooh Sanctuary is a healing and justice-centered space dedicated to supporting the well-being through culturally responsive, community-centered care, and holistic practices. Our offerings include healing circles, workshops, sound healing, and creative and embodied practices that honor cultural wisdom and foster collective care. At Rooh, healing feels personal and rooted in identity, creativity, and connection, creating a space where stories are respected, and community thrives. Through initiatives like the Sponsor a Sister program, we work towards making our services accessible to all. Future programs will expand our scope to address body image, eating disorders, and culturally grounded healing approaches.
We are building out our Body and Food Liberation Program at Rooh Sanctuary, hiring for a June 2026 start.
Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role located in Santa Monica, CA, for a Registered Dietitian. This role is ideal for a practitioner who approaches nutrition through a holistic, culturally aware, and non-diet lens.
We're looking for someone who:
Practices from a HAES-informed and anti-diet perspective
Has experience supporting individuals with eating disorders
Brings a culturally responsive and inclusive approach to care
Is trauma informed
Values diverse relationships with food, body, and healing
We especially value practitioners who are thoughtful about cultural foodways, body autonomy, and the impact of systemic and societal factors on health and nourishment.
