Senior Account Executive, FoodMinds (Chicago)

FoodMinds is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Account Executive (SAE) to support high-profile food and beverage clients. In this role, you’ll translate science and policy into impactful communications, help manage integrated campaigns, and stay at the forefront of nutrition, health, and sustainability trends. This is an opportunity to grow your influence in the food and nutrition communications space by shaping meaningful, science-based messaging for diverse audiences. This position is based in our Chicago or Minneapolis office. This is not a fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategy and Content Development

  • Monitor trends and developments in food and nutrition policy, science, media, and sustainability—including topics like dietary guidance, sustainable food systems and personalized nutrition.

  • Translate technical science and policy insights into compelling, actionable strategies for client and stakeholder engagement.

  • Participate in strategy sessions and contribute proactive ideas and insights.

  • Develop nutrition, health and wellness-focused content (e.g., education materials, presentations, social content, webinars, newsletters, etc.)  that align with client goals and resonate across audiences.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong, responsive relationships.

  • Support development of integrated communications strategies to reach target audiences, including both health professional and consumer audiences

  • Manage influencer and health professional partnerships to amplify messaging.

Project Management

  • Manage projects with efficiency and accuracy—owning timelines, workplans, reporting, and budgets.

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, managing both upward and downward to ensure seamless execution.

  • Balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with composure and confidence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 3–5 years of experience in food, health or nutrition communications, ideally in a corporate or agency setting

  • Established relationships with nutrition, health and/or food systems experts and organizations

  • Advanced credentials in nutrition, food policy or public health (e.g., RD, MPH, MS) preferred.
