Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrative and functional nutrition, with expertise in hormone health and metabolism. This role involves providing individualized nutrition counseling, developing personalized nutrition plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary providers to support our clients’ unique health goals in a culturally humble manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments that consider medical history, cultural considerations, lifestyle, and individual health goals.
Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans tailored to the unique needs of women aged 40+, addressing hormonal changes, metabolic concerns, and other age-related factors.
Apply evidence-based strategies to support hormone balance, including estrogen metabolism, adrenal health, thyroid function, and blood sugar regulation.
Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and support, utilizing integrative and functional nutrition principles to promote optimal health, while being mindful of cultural preferences and traditions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and therapists, to ensure a holistic and inclusive approach to client care.
Stay current with the latest research and developments in hormone health, metabolism, and integrative nutrition, particularly concerning women's health and diverse populations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and state licensure (Georgia preferred, but will also consider candidates with licensure in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana)
Certification or specialized training in integrative and functional nutrition, hormone health, and metabolism is highly desirable.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in nutrition counseling, with a focus on women’s health, hormones, and/or integrative nutrition.
Strong understanding of hormone metabolism, including the role of nutrition in estrogen detoxification, adrenal health, thyroid function, and metabolic balance.
Deep knowledge of the unique nutritional needs and challenges faced by women aged 40 and above, with an appreciation for diverse cultural food practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and connection with clients from various backgrounds.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Google Workspace.
Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and advancing culturally humble care.
Must be available for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $50-$60/hour (based on experience)
1099 Independent Contractor Position (flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend options).
