Registered Dietitian / WIC Coordinator (HCP2)
Job Summary
As a member of an interdisciplinary team, and under the guidance of the Public Health Nurse Program Manager, administer the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, including planning, reporting, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations; provide nutrition assessments, intervention and education to individuals and families, including high-risk counseling; develop individual care plans based on nutritional assessments; issue food package benefits; plan and coordinate WIC specific education initiatives; breastfeeding promotion and support training and service evaluation; schedule, organize, and assign work to program staff; and conduct clinical and community level outreach.

This position does not supervise staff.
This is a Bilingual Spanish/ English preferred position and offers a Bilingual Differential of base salary plus an additional 5% upon successful completion of required language testing.
Must pass a criminal history background check.
Hybrid work option available: This position provides flexibility to work a combination of remote and on-site as long as it does not interfere with the ability to build strong working relationships and attend required on-site meetings. The initial training period may require a period of on-site presence to gain understanding of job expectation and responsibilities.

Annual salary range of:
$61,448 - $82,932
This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year. Increases are given at the end of the 6 month probationary period and at the 1 year anniversary, as long as your performance is in good standing! Increases are given until the maximum of the salary range is reached.
For most employees who take advantage of health benefits the salary only makes up 60% of their total compensation. The County invests in you and your family!

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or a related health science field; AND
2 years of related work experience; AND
Registered Dietitian Licensure required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.

Special Requirements:
Registered Dietitian Licensure required.
Valid Oregon driver's license. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
The Ideal Candidate
