DD Summit 2025 Session: Bringing Weight Inclusivity & Non-Scale Successes to Pediatric Nutrition

$15.00

In this session, Venus runs through the current weight-centric model in pediatric healthcare and its limitations. She debunks myths about weight-centered care, breaks down the history of the body mass index and highlights how it is not meant for pediatric use. She then discusses the importance of preserving body image in developing children, and helping clinicians redefine success by focusing on health-affirming behaviors, and not on weight loss - regardless of a child's age and medical complexity. In this talk, Venus aspires to empower clinicians of all backgrounds and specialties with clinical tools, phraseologies, and the latest literature to support patients and families to build long lasting, health-affirming behaviors.

CEUs are only provided on the full DD Summit recording package. Learn more here.
