Operation Food Search (OFS) seeks an experienced and results-driven individual to join our Fresh Rx team. OFS has developed an innovative portfolio of healthcare and education partnerships focused on addressing food security and nutrition as an integral component of overall health and well-being. The successful candidate will be in a highly collaborative role with the responsibility to coordinate the Fresh Rx: Prescribing Healthy Futures (PHF) Program.

Position OverviewThe Prescribing Healthy Futures Registered Dietitian reports to the Fresh Rx Nutrition Coordinator and shall promote and support the Fresh Rx programs in accordance with OFS's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nutrition education and counseling with a school-based adolescent population.

  • Coordinate train-the-trainer nutrition and culinary programming for students and staff.

  • Oversee inventory and purchasing of food and culinary tools for school-based programming.

  • Assist with development of website and social media content for Fresh Rx programming.

  • Practice safe food practices within all aspects of Fresh Rx programming.

  • Maintain electronic platform for data collection.

  • Provide clinical nutrition expertise in the development of research protocols.

  • Collaborate with Fresh Rx team members to fulfill grant requirements and program benchmarks.

Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Passion for the OFS mission.

  • Ability to protect the mission, goals and values of the organization.

  • Dietetic Registration and Missouri Licensure required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting.

  • Experience working with adolescent and underserved populations.

  • Familiar with Trauma-Informed Principles.

  • Familiar with the principles of Health at Every Size®.

  • Familiar with eating disorders and the connection to diet and health.

  • Ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships with OFS team, school community, program partners and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, communication, public speaking and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner and without close supervision.

  • Possess a growth mindset and actively seek out opportunities to learn.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring the highest standards in quality.

Special Requirements

  • Flexibility in working hours for occasional special events after-hours or weekend activities.

  • Computer skills with MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Frequent local travel required.

  • Willingness to assist with other OFS duties as required or as assigned.
